We've all dabbled in it (or will during our high school years) so let's talk about it.
Whether it's about the opposite sex or friend troubles, it's always tough on both parties. So, here are a few quick tips to dealing with all the drama.:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Avoid it in the first place. Try to be polite and courteous about the situation at hand and don't get involved a lot if you don't need to.
2. Instigating: the Root of it all: DON'T instigate. If your friend has something to say to the person she's arguing with, tell her she needs to handle that herself. Also, don't go around telling anyone what you thought you heard or what so-n-so did. If it doesn't help end this little feud, it doesn't need to be told to anyone.
3. Picking Sides: Once you made it clear who's side you're on, there's no switching sides. You're showing you support one friend over the other, despite the reason they're arguing, and this can do a great damage to your friendship with the friend on the opposing side. So a little advice: Don't ever pick sides.
4. Be rational, think it out: Do you even know why your friends are fighting? If so, think about why they might be so upset and come up with a list of reasons this whole situation is stupid. Try explaining these reasons to them kindly, and let them know how crazy this whole deal is.
5. Think about it. You know the situation and if you give it a little thought, you'll know exactly what to do! :P
