Yeah, Christmas has come and gone, but the weather??
Yup. Still Here. ughhhh..
Which means I'm going to be doing something more, welll, productive for my readers...especially because I'm a bit snowed in.... =(
So what's it gonna be?? Valentine's Day Advice?? More Goals?? Hmmm, how bout advice?? With the big dance coming up you're going to need all the time you can get...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Boys: Asking a guy out to a dance is difficult, I admit it. But, it's waay better than waiting for HIM to ask YOU. Just like us, guys wait for us to make the first move. But, if no one makes the first move, you're both dateless.
"But what if he doesn't like me?"
--If he doesn't like you, wouldn't you rather know than crushing on a guy that isn't crushing on you back? So what he doesn't like you, there are still plenty of guys at your school. And if not at your school, other schools are crawling with hot guys who might share your interests.
"I'm still too afraid to ask him..."
--And I don't blame you. As much grief us girls get for being "difficult", guys are really hard to read, too! What I recommend you do in this situation is call up a loyal friend who is friends with your crush or friends with your crush's friend. Have them hint around about who they like.
"How do I ask him?"
--Writing a note may not be the best resort, but, in some cases it might be ok. Notes can be stolen or put into the wrong hands, and that can be embarrassing for the both of you. Try asking him at lunch, during passing time, or calling him when he doesn't look busy or crowded by other people. "Hey Ricky. I was wondering... will you be my date to the Valentine's Dance?"
FYI: Dropping hints of flirtation can come in handy...
Going Stag: Going stag means going alone or with a group of friends. If your friends have dates and for some reason for don't, that definitely sucks. If all your friends have dates and you don't want to go alone, don't stay home. Do find another group of friends to go with. Talk to new people or people you speak with occasionally, and bring it up in a conversation. Suggest you and some other people go in a group!
Finding The Right Outfit: The perfect Valentine's Day dress doesn't have to be expensive, it doesn't even have to be pink. Debs, Forever21 & dELiA's have a few nice dresses... Macy's also has some, which might cost a bit more, but are really gorgeous. As for outfits not dance-related my favorite shopping places for the moment are Forever21, WetSeal, dELiAs, and maybe even Charlotte Russe. Check out Polyvore.com to put your outfit together and get feedback free...You never know, you might just find my page... ;) & Remember: Cute accessories make your outfit pop!
*PS--Whoa, I sure did go link-crazy!! Lol =P
